Hi, I’m Ioana!
I’m a mom of two sweet little girls – one is 4 and the other just turned 1. I became a mom a bit later in life, after realizing that things happen when they’re meant to. I got married in 2019 to a wonderful man, who supports my journey and is an incredible father to our daughters.
My first pregnancy was something I prepared for deeply – I studied natural birth, tracked my cycle closely, and listened carefully to my body. I gave birth during the pandemic after a long 36-hour labor, completely naturally and without medication. It was one of the most empowering moments of my life, and I’ll never forget the magical first hour with my baby in my arms.
The second birth was even more beautiful. I felt more aware, practiced prenatal yoga, and was emotionally grounded. Labor lasted just 6 hours, and I held my baby right after birth – no interventions, just connection. I breastfed my first daughter for two years and continue to breastfeed the second one today.
Motherhood changed me deeply. After my first daughter, I began studying emotional health, parenting, and healing childhood wounds. I started working on my own emotions so I could be the calm and grounded parent my children need. I also support my older daughter in understanding and managing her feelings, especially after her baby sister arrived.
Of course, the transition wasn’t easy – shifting attention between two kids brought new challenges. There are days I feel like I’ve lost myself, like I miss the “old me” who danced, did yoga, went out with friends. But I gently remind myself that this is a season. I now make time for a weekly yoga class and I teach dance to 4–6-year-olds – my older daughter is in the group too, so we get to share that joy.
This blog is my honest space to share what it really feels like to be a mom.
If you’re here, I hope you find connection, support, and a reminder that you’re not alone in this wild and beautiful motherhood journey.
With love,
Ioana
